Shoutcast DNAS versions 2.4 and 2.5 support AAC and AAC+ streaming from any encoder, including Rocket Broadcaster Pro. However, Shoutcast 2.6 has removed free AAC streaming, and now only supports AAC with the purchase of a "Shoutcast Server Software Premium" subscription from Shoutcast.com. Rocket Broadcaster Pro is compatible with all of these versions of Shoutcast.
For a free alternative streaming server that supports AAC, consider Icecast. You can read more about Icecast vs. Shoutcast here.
Additional information on streaming server and encoder compatibility is available in our documentation.
